Leech Detector is an Anki Addon designed to provide a more sophisticated approach to identifying and managing 'leeches' in your card collection than just relying on lapse counts.
Features:
* Card Info View: Introduces new statistics to help you understand the 'leechiness' of a card.
* Browse View: Adds new filters to easily search for all, active, recovering, or recovered leeches.
* SM2/FSRS Compatible: Works seamlessly with both scheduling algorithms.
How it Works:
* The addon checks your maximum performance (successful recall measured in time) for each "Lapse".
* A "Lapse" is specifically defined as needing at least one successful review. If you press "Again -> Good" on Day 1 and "Again" on Day 2, it's not considered a lapse but still part of the learning phase.
* For every max performance, it verifies if you achieved a higher value than the previous one. If not, it registers this as a "Performance Drop".
* Accumulating too many Performance Drops will cause the card to be marked as a Leech.
* Cards automatically transition to "Recovering" and then "Recovered" states if your current performance consistently exceeds the old maximum.
* With enough good performance, a card can even return to a "Healthy" state.
